Why I Do What I Do
From Wall Street to the City of London, my journey in finance has always been driven by curiosity and determination. As a New Yorker raised by parents who inspired my professional path, I learned early on the importance of financial knowledge and independence. A career that started on the trading floor of Deutsche Bank and Renaissance Capital has evolved into a mission: to make finance more accessible and inspiring—especially for women and young people.
Through writing articles for platforms like TODAY.com, Metro.co.uk, and City AM, I share honest perspectives on the industry, women’s empowerment, and financial literacy. With my children’s book You Can Count on Penny, I aim to ignite the same passion for numbers in young readers that shaped my own life.
Today, as a stepmother, writer, financier, and advocate, I strive to break down barriers in finance, champion education, and help the next generation dream bigger and achieve more—whether in trading floors, boardrooms, or beyond.
Every child deserves to see the magic of numbers. Every woman deserves a seat at the financial table. And every dream deserves a chance.
